Modern Desert Chic California Wedding

Laurian and Jasion met during college in 2011. Laurian was introduced to Jasion by one of her friends, and it was immediately love at first sight. They were inseparable ever since that fateful day and have been together for six years. The lovely couple have two beautiful children (boy and girl), who were both able to partake in the wedding ceremony. Check out this modern and chic desert wedding shot at the Diamond View Summit in California, captured by Kenneth G Photography.

Engagement story:

On February 13th, after falling asleep in bed, Jasion slipped the engagement ring on my finger. I woke up on Valentine’s Day and screamed, “OMG!”. After abundantly hugging and kissing Jasion with excitement, I said “Yes!” and were engaged. While sleeping Jasion also took a picture of me with the ring on my finger and posted it on his Instagram, I woke up to an abundance of loving messages saying “Congratulations!”, showing so much excitement and happiness for the two of us. It was a beautiful and perfect morning!

From the Bride:

Planning my wedding was stressful but also exciting! I always dreamed of my wedding day and how happy I would be! I have had a Pinterest wedding for many years! I didn’t need things to be perfect, I just needed a beautiful setting, to be surrounded by tons of love, and for my guest to have a wonderful time. Through the stress, I would tell myself that all that matters is that I make it down the aisle and marry my husband in front of our family and friends. My wedding day was unreal. Nothing felt real, it was like I was dreaming the entire time. I was calm, despite any little wedding mishap. I just wanted the end result to continue to remain the same, I marry the love of my life. I was very anxious to walk down the aisle towards my husband and celebrate our love with our loved ones and those who mean the most to us.

From the Groom:

My wedding experience was better than I thought it was going to be. As a man, you think you just show up, say a few words, dance, and eat, but it ended up being more than I expected. The outpour of emotions for me and my wife from our friends and family felt on that day was so uplifting. The food was great and everything was well planned out. Our guests had a great time and my wife made me the happiest man in the world.

What makes your love special?

It was completely love at first sight when we met, and we have faced so much together as a couple, but every struggle we have faced, we faced together.

Your most memorable moment:

Saying our vows to one another!

Wedding song:

Our wedding song was “This Is Why I Love You” by Major. We chose this song because it explains why we love each other and why we are committed to one another, as well as how it’s just the two of us always and forever!

Favorite wedding detail:

The view and scenery

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

We look forward to all the memories that we will create with one another, the future, raising our children, and just living our best lives together, chasing our dreams.

Advice for a Bride and Groom on their wedding day:

The day goes by extremely fast so enjoy every second of it and make sure that all your wants and needs are met! Once the day is over it all becomes just a memory.

Congratulations to the newlyweds! We wish you many years of wedded bliss.
