Afro Chic Styled Shoot

This Afro-Chic styled wedding shoot showed us that sharing is caring. Sponsored by the Queen Photographers of Georgia, an organization that supports women of color photographers — four talented artists were able to capture the true essence of “Black Girl Magic.” We love the rosy, cream and green color palette mixed in with silver and gold accents, as well as the lush florals and bohemian elements. The artistically designed confections were another detail we appreciated, thanks to B. Rich Photography, Crystal Artis Photography, Hope Ballenger Photography and Precious T Photography.

Fab Season Events, a Georgia-based wedding planning and design company coordinated this Afro-Chic styled shoot alongside Queen Photographers of Georgia and their team of impeccable vendors. The shoot took place in a beautiful, naturally lit studio space in Gainesville, Georgia. Here’s what Fab Season Events and Queen Photographers had to say about the inspiration behind their styled shoot:

“The Southern Vintage tablescape was inspired by our floral china, which we all immediately fell in love with because of its color scheme. The color palette included marsala, burgundy, cream and gold. To match the vintage theme, we set the table with clear goblets, gold-plated flatware, and burgundy napkins folded in classic silver napkin rings, which displayed the menu. We used a white lace runner to accent the beautiful floral centerpiece aligned with gold votive candles.”

Shoot location: Christa O’Brien’s Photography Studio, Gainesville, Georgia

Shoot theme: Afro Chic & Black Girl Magic

Color combinations: Marsala, burgundy, cream and gold.

Favorite detail: Our favorite detail was definitely the place-setting.

Please share unique details from your shoot:

The studio’s wall texture provided an additional element to the shoot. The burgundy macaroons embellished with gold flakes tied in well with our theme.
