Say Yes To The Dress Recap: Stephen Curry’s Little Sister Sydel Is A Perfect Pnina Bride

By Amber Spence

Sydel Curry-Lee, baby sister of NBA basketball player Stephen Curry, has officially been taken off the market by fellow pro ball player, Damion Lee. On September 1, 2018, Sydel said, “I Do,” and shared the moment with the world when she posted pictures of her fairytale wedding on Instagram. We couldn’t help falling in love with this couple as we caught glimpses of their intimate moments of becoming Mr. and Mrs. Lee.

Sydel shared her dress shopping experience with “Say Yes to the Dress” fans alongside her sister-in-law and Matron of Honor, Ayesha Curry. She was also joined by her mother, godmother and wedding dress partner in crime (also niece), Riley Curry.

After trying on a dress she “liked” Sydel realized that her mom didn’t cry when she entered the showroom, which was very important to her. And this is what led Sydel to visit Klienfield for TLC’s “Say Yes to The Dress” in hopes of finding the one!

Sydel, eager to not only try on dresses but also had a goal to make her mom shed some joyful tears, locked her eyes on a Pnina Tornai mermaid gown. And the rest is history. Sydel graced social media with her selected dress and showed everyone she paired it with a Maria Elena Headpieces AU tiara and Louboutin shoes.

The mermaid silhouette flattered Sydel’s figure and fit her lively and fun personality. Sydel wanted to feel grown! And I believe she did a great job of balancing just that while still staying true to who she is.

Pairing the Maria Elena headpiece added just enough bling alongside her other glam accessories, all while mimicking the applique on Sydel’s dress — thus, making the look even more effortlessly elegant.

Sydel wore a plain tulle cathedral veil to finish the look. The veil fell beautifully into the train of her dress gave off fairytale chills!
