Whimsical Cliffside Florida Engagement Session

Brittani and Brian were introduced to each other by one of Brittani’s best friends. That very friend just so happened to be Brian’s coworker at the time. It was on July 10, 2008, when Brittani and Brian officially met, and they have been together for 10 years so far. However, they’re hoping to spend many more together as husband and wife. But before they can party the night away, Brittani and Brian joined together to capture their love with a whimsical outdoor engagement session at the Altamonte Springs in Apopka, Florida. Check out their magical day, captured by Divine Goddess Photography.

  1. Engagement story (please tell us the story of your engagement proposal and your most memorable moments)

-Brittani: We were leaving a wedding rehearsal and headed to the “rehearsal dinner”. We arrived at the SunDial Restaurant in Atlanta, GA and Brittani was greeted by Brian’s sister as he parked the car (aka gathered his emotions LOL). Once Brian walked in, we both took the elevator up and were greeted by our son holding a sign which read “Mommy, daddy wants to know…” and our families holding the remaining signs which read “Will You Marry Me?” As Brittani turned around Brian was behind her on one knee. Of course, Brittani said YES! It such a beautiful moment…the memorable moments was having my brother who is in the Navy be a part of this moment & our son’s excitement was through the roof.

For the Groom: Walk us through the behind the scenes of creating this special day:

I kept going back and forth about how I was going to do it; after speaking with my mother, she said, “Why not just do it after my wedding rehearsal? She’ll never expect it.” We were driving to the restaurant SunDial in Atlanta, Georgia. I know there’s are sayings about feeling like butterflies, bubble guts, and stomachs being in knots–combine all of those and multiply it by 10, and that’s what I was feeling going to that restaurant.

We arrived there, and I got on the elevator hands just sweating it out. Mind you, the restaurant is on like the seventieth floor. So needless to say, I had more than enough time to get my thoughts together. The doors opened and around the corner, Brittani’s brother, her father, my mother, and my twin (aka my son) were holding signs made my big sister. It said, “Will you marry me?” When Brittani turned around, I was down on one knee asking her to spend the rest of her life with me. The highlight, of course, was when she said, “Yes.” Our son was in the background yelling, “Kiss her! Kiss her! Kiss her!”

What makes your love special?

I believe that Christ being our foundation makes our love special. It’s hard to explain but our love for God has made us better people and partners. This is a what makes us so attracted to each other and defines what our love truly is. With our faith, we can do all things. We also enjoy the simple things like binge-watching TV, going out to eat, pillow fights and etc. You know stuff best friends do.

What was the theme of your shoot?

We did not have a specific theme, we just wanted to make sure that we had a fun and memorable shoot.

Were there any memorable moments during the shoot?

There were several memorable moments in the shoot, however, I think the best one was when we decided to sit together in the freezing cold water. Brian was wearing jeans and I made him sit in the river. The shots came out awesome, however, we were about an hour and a half away from home. And of course, we didn’t bring a change of clothes so Brian and I had to drive all the way home soaking wet.

What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?

The two things we look forward to most at our wedding are seeing each other at the altar along with our son and family members giving us away.

Have you started planning your wedding?

Yes, our wedding is approximately two months away so everything has been planned.

Congratulations to the happy couple! We wish you a fruitful wedding and marriage.
