Check out these gorgeous moments from their Caribbean engagement shoot captured by Legacy Studios.

Engagement Story:

It was 2018 when Kevyn and Rache’ set sail on Harmony of the Seas for a family vacation.  On the second night of the cruise while at dinner, Kevyn stood up, removed a piece of paper from his suit pocket, and began reading a speech he had written. Full of emotion, he got down on one knee and they both began to cry. Meanwhile, their family and friends were screaming and recording the entire moment.

For the Groom: Walk us through the behind the scenes of creating this special day

Two months before I proposed, I asked Rache’s parents for their blessing to marry their daughter.  After I got the approval, I took a flight to Miami and purchased a ring from Kay Jewelers. Then I was counting down the days until I would propose. Hours before the proposal I had to make sure everything was in place for the dinner I had planned. I went down to the lobby bar, had a drink, and wrote down my speech that I still was not able to get through that day! I felt a lot of pressure during the whole experience leading up to the proposal because I wanted everything to be perfect.

What makes your love special?

We dated for eight months before we made the decision to get into a relationship. We created a friendship and a bond that I’ve never experienced with any human being. He’s my best friend. Our friendship definitely makes our love special.

What was the theme of your shoot?

Being from the islands, we were mainly concerned about the location where we would take our pics and not really about what we would wear. We chose a beautiful location with lots of greenery. The theme was simple elegance.

Were there any memorable moments during the shoot?

The entire shoot was memorable but the breathtaking scenery and the laughter during the photoshoot were most memorable. It was lots of fun. The spotlight was definitely on Kevyn. He went into complete model mode, which worked out well for our pictures as you can see.

What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?

We’re both excited to walk down the aisle! We really look forward to that moment.

Have you started planning your wedding?

Yes, our wedding was initially set for April 25, 2020, but it got postponed due to the pandemic. The planning is all done, we are simply waiting for our big day.

Congratulations to the happy couple!  We wish you many years of wedded bliss!
