Swahili Beach Resort African Wedding Styled Shoot

“The cicada sings an endless song in the long grass, smells run along the earth and falling stars run over the sky, like tears over a cheek. You are the privileged person to whom everything is taken.”

This is the quote that inspired the Swahili Beach Resort African Wedding Styled Shoot. Taking inspiration from the stunning backdrops of Mombasa, Kenya, this styled wedding is a mix of Afro-bohemian rustic elements and simple sophistication. If you desire a serene and romantic wedding in the motherland, check out this distinct shoot, captured by Alessandro Mari Photography.

Kwa Moyo Weddings, a Kenya-based wedding planning and design company, teamed up with a group of talented vendors to create this Swahili Beach Resort styled shoot, which showcases the best natural landscapes of Africa. Here is what this talented team had to say about this effortlessly beautiful Kenyan wedding styled shoot:

We arrived in this paradise called the Swahili Beach Resort, a majestic venue where every corner is well cured. This is the perfect place where you can enjoy the beauty of Diani beach and its Indian Ocean, where every morning its color changed and during the sunset, you’d see the small boats on the surface of the sea and the red, gold rose paintings of the sun which makes this scenario a perfect frame. In all this beauty, we shot a really inspirational wedding and we are so thankful to our wedding planner Salima who planned and organized everything to perfection.

The getting ready for the bride and groom in this elegant and heavenly resort was so marvelous. The Arabic style of the bedroom, where the delicate pastel rose gown by Anniel hung was absolutely amazing. We cannot speak about the dress without mentioning the butterfly shoes by Anniel. We were speechless!

After the preparation of the bride and groom, we went to the Cliff Top. We love this corner of the Swahili Beach Resort, which is perfect to celebrate a ceremony with the beautiful view of the beach. The calm you can enjoy here is something that is well fixed in our mind. Beautiful exotic flowers were on the arch and on the styled silver African chairs. Thanks to Romina Sartoria Floreale who set up all the flowers, who, with those lovely flowers, seemed to have found her perfect place in Kenya.

Later, camels passed by the way as if we were on a movie set and we didn’t hesitate to take shots with our couple, where the blue of the sky was in a perfect harmony with the color of the sand.

In the end, we were really delighted by the magical reception dinner at the baobab pool. The baobab was full of fairy lights that made the atmosphere magical and romantic. Kenya is really a unique wedding destination.”
