Engagement story:

We actually went to Miami for what I thought was just a trip for my birthday (June 9th) that turned into a celebration of our engagement as well. We took the trip with my sister and her boyfriend and they were in on it the entire time. I remember it was a rainy day in Miami and we had been out shopping and were winding down to find a nice place to sit and eat for dinner. After going to multiple restaurants, which I thought were extremely nice by the way, and walking out after sitting for only a few moments because they didn’t seem to have good food on the menu (he wanted the moment to be Perfect) I was really over it. It was raining and by this time I was completely hungry. So I said this restaurant is where we are going to eat, it was named Cardozo South Beach. After eating a nice dinner my sister asks if I would share a dessert with her. She leaves the table for a few moments, and then joins us again. After about 5 minutes the waitress brings out a dessert plate that reads “Will You Marry Me”? I seriously did not even notice what the plate read until I turned to my Fiancé and noticed that he was down on one knee. The entire restaurant was involved at this point, and by far that had to be the happiest day of my life.

From the Groom:

I felt like a celebrity, like all eyes were on us. I felt excitement, love, and I felt that everything that led to me seeing my wife walk down the staircase to me was, more than worth it.

From the Bride:

Planning a wedding I think was one of the hardest tasks I have encountered thus far in my life, factoring in I travel 90% of the time with work. I was thankful to have amazing people step in. On the wedding day, I was anxious to get to the ceremony. I had mixed emotions and admit that I was a little nervous because all eyes would be on the both of us. I was overjoyed to see all of our family and friends that came from all over to celebrate our big day with us. I was eager to finally become Mrs. Nguyen.

What makes your love special?

Our Love is special because it’s ours. We are absolutely in Love with one another and it becomes stronger as the days go by. Despite the obstacles we have faced only because of our “LOVE” we have managed to hold on tight and never let go. My Husband and I are Best Friends.

Most memorable moment:

I think the most memorable moment for the both of us was when we saw one another for the first time on our wedding day. I was doing so well keeping myself composed and not crying, but I completely lost it when I saw how emotional my Husband was at the altar.

Wedding song: John Legend: All of Me, we chose this song because we felt it spoke for us.

Favorite wedding detail: Our favorite wedding details had to be the Photo Booth and the Wedding Shoe Game. We feel that both of those details were so memorable.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

We are most looking forward and excited to start our own family in God’s timing. We both are enjoying being a newly married couple.

Advice for a Bride/Groom on their wedding day:

Th
e best advice I believe we could give would be to not let anyone or anything steal your joy. Although wedding planning can become complex keep in my mind that this should be the happiest most exciting time in your lives. Stay positive and know that everything will come together in the end. Don’t stress about the things you can’t change and things that are beyond your control. Remember that your loved ones are there to help and let them.

Congratulations to the newlyweds Ebony and Trung! We wish you many more years of wedded bliss.
