Like the old saying goes, you never know where you'll find love. Aneesah and Tommy's love story began at work. "We started off as coworkers at Avis Budget Group. Then we became friends which later led to romance. We truly were friends before we started our relationship," said Aneesah. The two coworkers turned lovers are now planning to spend the rest of their lives together. Aneesah and Tommy are planning a Fall themed wedding at the Flat Creek Crossing Ranch, Johnson City, TX, this November. Check out their Texas ranch themed engagement session, captured by Alexander L. Engagement story from the bride-to-be:

Well I wasn't expecting anything. I remembered he was working a lot of hours at work and staying late. I just thought he had to work because they needed him with the demand in cars. I noticed we were going on these cute dates. Boat Rides, Adult Night at a local water park in Lake Travis. I remember one of my good friends Tiffany had said she had a dream that Tommy was going to propose soon. So I told Tommy what she said and he was like tell her don't be dreaming about me lol. I still didn't think anything of it. When he proposed I was on the computer trying to show him a ring I thought was pretty but instead of walking to the computer he walked outside. So I continued scrolling on Pintrest next thing I know he’s coming in the house and he’s giving his phone to my mom on the couch. He turns my computer chair around and he gets down on one Knee and he says “You know I love you, right?” My mouth dropped! and of course I said YES! Sunday August 11, 2013 is when Tommy proposed to me.

From the Groom: Walk us through the behind the scenes of creating this special day:

I had it planned for about 3 months. I had the ring she showed me and tickets purchased and ready. Adult night at a nice small water park and restaurant on the lake Travis. The park was supposed to be closed off to kids and open after hours. I knew she was growing impatient and thinking I wasn't catching her hints on wanting me to propose but what she didn't know was she would have been engaged 1 week prior on our moonlight boat ride, we had went on but the sizing of the ring was not ready at the time. So this was going to be the night. I was nervous about her finding the ring before I was ready. I left the ring in the car. I assumed I would just come back for it later. Once inside the park I noticed there were quite a few kids but thought I could have worked around it. Then it began to rain, So we make our way to the restaurant. We finally get a table, so I think this is my chance to say "I left my wallet in the car" you know to get the ring. I knew she wanted the proposal to be recorded and the table next to us was loud and had a few drinks. The waiter was quite rude and took forever with taking our order, bringing our drinks and bringing our food by then we both had an attitude towards the waiter. This was just not the night. So the next day, which was Sunday afternoon. She is sitting at the computer dropping some more "hints". "Look babe, this ring is real nice, and it's not that expensive." So I think to myself. The place isn't the importance. Just making her day and making her mine is all that matters. Plus I needed to hurry before she finds a ring she likes more than the one she previously picked. Her mom happened to be over and sitting on our couch. So I get the ring from the car. As I was walking back to the house. My heart began to beat rapidly. I pulled my phone out my pocket, put it on record and handed it to her mom and told her to "just record." I stood next to her and turned her towards me. I kissed her and said "you know that I love you right." Voice shaking and heart beating even faster, I got down on one knee and I said it "will you marry me?" The first moments of disbelief on her face, followed by excitement then tears, made it worth the wait. Once she hugged me, my heartbeat began to slow down as I just lost myself in her arms. I could feel the sigh of relieve leave her body and not only was she in tears but her mother was as well. Then we stood up still hugging one another. I gave her yet another kiss. Seeing how happy she was and how happy it was making me to see her like that only reassured me that I have in fact made the right decision.

What was the theme of your Engagement session?

Well we didn't really have a theme. I wanted us to wear the Denim on Denim look which I think ours looked BEAUTIFUL! Loved how that came out. Then we dressed up a bit with matching reds. His favorite color.

What makes your love special?

What makes our love so special is because it’s a genuine, unconditional, Friendship, Honesty and most importantly we have each others back. We support each other and have goals that we want to achieve together.

What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?

Walking down the aisle to my husband! I cannot wait to become Mrs. McClendon

Have you started planning your wedding?

YES! I technically had 2 years to plan but I didn't start planning until November of 2014 because 3 months after he proposed I became pregnant with my 2nd daughter and his 1st child. I had a hard pregnancy so planning was out of the questio
n. So when I started was after I had her and after we picked a new date because we wanted a summer wedding July 18th but our daughter was due that same day! what a coincidence! she was born July 14th. Which was another coincidence bc my oldest daughter was born October 14th. So since we are both born in November we decided to pick November 14th because we’re Fall babies and our Daughters were born on the 14th day. This gave me exactly a year to plan plan plan! So far I have everything I need except for an Officiant and Someone to make my Cupcakes for the wedding. I have made my bouquets for my bridesmaids, Ive made their gifts for bridesmaids and Groomsmen. I will finish decorating centerpieces, aisle and Ceremony decor. I will make my flower girls TuTus but since they are all toddlers I will not make them until a few months before the wedding since they are still growing especially our special flower girl. Our Daughter Tamyah she’s 10 months and we’re working hard to get her to start walking!

Congratulations to the happy couple Aneesah and Tommy! We wish you a wonderful wedding and marriage.
