A Mid-Century Modern Wedding Styled Shoot at Prospect Bay

Rustic meets mid-century in this gorgeous wedding styled shoot at the Prospect Bay Country Club.  The warm, bold florals along with the venue’s waterfront views provided the perfect backdrop for  this outdoor shoot. And can we talk about this adorable mobile bar from Vintage Views Bar? We know that you will catch summer fever and get some wedding day inspiration after checking out these photos captured by Jessica Seyfried Photography

Here is what planner, Abigail Coale of Abidoodle Productions had to say about the vision behind this shoot:

“I knew I wanted something super bright for spring and summer, and a color combination that wasn’t too cookie-cutter.  I also knew I wanted our models to be ethnically diverse, with the hope that publication would allow for more representation in the wedding world. It’s always a priority to put full faith in our vendors and trust that they will come up with something incredible, and they definitely delivered.  Darra from Dear Darling Design Studio went above and beyond with handmade floral paper and the most incredible printed designs for our stationery, in addition to the resin name plates.  The floral pieces that Nikki from Island Flowers designed were beyond my wildest dreams with bright pops of color and tons of texture.  Everything ended up working so well together.”

Shoot location : Prospect Bay, Grasonville, Maryland

Shoot theme/motif/inspiration: Spring Fever- bright spring and summer colors.

Color combinations: To reflect the spring and summer vibes, Abigail Coale of Abidoodle Productions chose the color palette of yellow, lavender, peach, and fuchsia.

Favorite detail: The florals, specifically the bridal bouquet.  The bouquet was filled with so many dimensional flowers, yet it didn’t overpower or take away from the bride.

Decor Details

Linens: We wanted a bare table to show off the amazing Beach House table from Honeywood Rentals. The only other linens we used were pops of purple and fuchsia with our napkins.”

Centerpiece Description: Nikki did an amazing job designing something long for our centerpiece. It had so much dimension with blooms of varying heights, colors, and textures, and was the perfect focal point for our table!”

Place Settings: “We kept the place settings pretty simple with the centerpiece as the main focal point. We mixed purples and pinks into the glassware and linens, with gold rimmed plates and silverware. We also popped our resin floral name plates on for a little extra sparkle.”

Favors: “April from Fluff Girls Cotton Candy Catering made these adorable containers of cotton candy! The cotton candy was even color coordinated, and had beautiful labels on them with our couple’s names and the shoot date.”

Stationery: “I knew I wanted something printed instead of hand-lettered, and they turned out so beautiful – maybe my favorite thing Dear Darling Design Studio has ever done! The design was printed on vellum, and then placed on top of handmade floral paper for a whimsical spring look.”
