Modern Mixed Metallic Beach Wedding Styled Shoot

This vibrant destination beach wedding style shoot features modern elements at the Pearl Beach Club in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. We love the white, cream and champagne palette with its combined silver and gold accents, which complement the overarching island vibe. The bride’s stunning natural hair was another detail we admired along with the pops of greenery throughout the shoot. Photo By Karina captured the magic in this hip, new tropical paradise and we’re about ready to book our ticket!

CM Events, a full-service event design and planning company that arranges destination weddings and social events in the Caribbean, teamed up with a group of talented vendors to make this island styled shoot come to life. Here is what Candice Patterson of CM Events had to say about working on this modern Punta Cana wedding:

“As a destination wedding planning specialist, I am always scouting the newest venue options in popular destination wedding locations. I wanted to plan a shoot that fit the vibe of the venue, so I planned and designed a ‘Modern Mixed Metallic Beach Wedding’ theme. When I was coming up with the concept of the bouquet I wanted it to be really classy and chic, but unique… something I had never seen or done before. The bouquet art is a combination of large tropical leaves with callas and orchids, with a pop of gold from the monstera leaf, which contrasted nicely alongside the silver circular vases for that mixed-metallic look I was going for. Gold chargers, champagne napkins, candles and elegant floral accents completed the look. For the bridal style, I wanted a really simple (but sexy) and modern look as well. The dress was very flirty and trendy; the ruffle accents on the back and the deep cut front were fun touches that looked great for a beach wedding!”

Decor Details:

Linens:

For the table design, we wanted to keep it really contemporary and clean. I am often inspired by interior design when I design wedding tablescapes, so I love incorporating really modern and unique vases, tables and chairs when possible. In the end, I chose natural wood tables with fashionable brown chairs for a simplified and sophisticated beach wedding aesthetic.

Centerpiece Description:

Our centerpieces included hoop-shaped, silver vases that contained palm leaves adorned with gold accents, mini callas and orchids. Glass candle holders and votives stood at various heights with their own gold embellishments.

Place Settings:

The place settings included gold coral chargers with champagne napkins arranged at a diagonal, along with some orchid accents.

Stationery:

White and gold laser-cut details were used as stationery for this shoot.

We did two natural hair inspiration looks since women of color with natural hair are sometimes stressed about what to do with their hair for destination weddings. We advise brides to do whatever makes them feel best, but for consideration, instead of stressing about keeping their hair straight with the humidity, maybe it’s better to find ways to rock the natural! Lastly I wanted to incorporate food and drink inspiration. Destination weddings are always so much fun, especially since you can sometimes incorporate cuisine that’s different from the traditional wedding menu in the states. From the Moet bar to tropical cocktails and chef-inspired dishes — they were all pinnacle in completing this shoot.

We can’t get enough of this gorgeous styled shoot. Share your favorite details in the comments below.
