Luxurious Love: A Garden Engagement Session in Atlanta

Qui’Andrea and Emmanuel have their place of employment to thank for their connection. Although it was against the rules, the two could not deny how they felt about each other and decided to keep their relationship a secret for a while. By the time everyone at work found out, Qui’Andrea and Emmanuel were already engaged and had purchased a home! Check out their lovely garden engagement session captured by Forever Photography.

Bride: Qui’Andrea Young, 29, Event Planner and Bartender

Groom: Emmanuel Young 31, Police Officer

Engagement Shoot Location: Cator Woolford Gardens in Atlanta, Georgia

Wedding date: August 29th, 2020

Engagement story:

We actually got engaged in front of our whole family at our housewarming. We were thanking everyone for coming out and by the time I turned around Emmanuel was down on one knee. I lost it! I cried like a baby.

For the Groom: Walk us through the behind the scenes of creating this special day

I knew when we purchased our first home that I wanted to marry her, I just needed the right time to ask. She always said she wanted to get engaged with our friends and family present so the housewarming was the perfect time. I asked her dad for his blessings a couple weeks before and he was the only person that I told in the beginning. I asked her best friend to distract her while we were telling everyone thank you for coming out, to give me enough time to get down on one knee. Of course she said yes!

 What makes your love special?

We come from separate worlds. We have a lot of things in common but then we have quite a bit not in common at all, but we make it work.

What was the theme of your shoot?

Luxury Black Love

Were there any memorable moments during the shoot?

Yes! While our shoot was going absolutely amazing someone broke into our car and stole the wardrobe I was going to wear in the second set of photos. They also stole some pretty valuable things from my husband. We were upset but we didn’t let it ruin our session. Everything that was taken was bought the next day. We had a wonderful amazing wedding day and things like that have to happen so you can look back on it and laugh or reminisce on how you jumped that hurdle. I can say that everything has to fall apart before everything falls into place.

What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?

The look on my husband’s face when he sees me for the first time.

Have you started planning your wedding?

Yes, we are actually now married. We took our engagement photos closer to our wedding date due to COVID restrictions.

Congratulations to the happy couple! We wish you a fruitful marriage and many years of wedded bliss!
