Engagement Story:

On March 16th 2019, T’Von and Tyrahnique went on a dinner date at one of their regular spots, Pier One. She was greeted at the table with a lovely bouquet of roses but still did not suspect anything. As the waiter was bringing out their dessert, Tyrahnique spotted her family and friends behind the waiter who brought out a dessert plate with the words “Will You Marry Me?” Sitting on the plate was a slice of chocolate cake with a beautiful engagement ring right next to it. T’Von then got down on one knee and asked Tyrahnique to be his wife.

For the Groom: Walk us through the behind the scenes of creating this special day

It was a day that I dreamed about and I was nervous, not because of what she would say but I was trying to figure out how to plan it. First, I spoke with my fiancee’s sister and her best friend. They gave me a few tips on what to do. I went ahead and booked dinner reservations for two at Pier One restaurant. Earlier that day, I bought some flowers and had it sent to the restaurant. Then, I took my time throughout the day writing down a speech to say, which was one of the hardest things I ever did because there was not enough room on the paper to let her know how much she means to me. After writing down what I had to say, I reviewed my speech with her best friend to make sure it was perfect .
