Glitzy-Glam Southern Tennessee Wedding

LaRhonda and Delvin met in the late 1990s. They were babies in the fourth and fifth grade, and the pair didn’t connect until they were in day camp. LaRhonda was attracted to Delvin’s hazel-green eyes. She got her little cousin to get Delvin to take a picture and what followed was love at first sight. A few years later, and this fated pair married with a glitzy southern wedding at The Great Hall and Conference Center in Germantown, Tennessee. Check out their romantic affair, captured by Southern Style Photography.

Engagement story:

The proposal was nothing short of amazing, we were at his parent’s home having Sunday dinner on Christmas Eve of 2017. Before we ate dinner, we stood around in a circle and held hands for prayer. We each took a turn before prayer expressing how thankful we were in the joyous Christmas spirit. We saved my husband for last. He gave the most heartwarming speech and then got down on one knee and popped the question.

From the Bride:

On our wedding day, I felt a rush of emotions from wanting it to be over so I could call him my husband. I had a great time embracing all of my girls in one room and living it up on the dance floor with my family during the reception. It was definitely an overwhelming experience of happiness.

What makes your love special?

What makes our love so special is that we are not only high sweethearts, but we have been together for more than half of our lives, but each moment feels anew.

Your most memorable moment:

The best moment for me was when we were pronounced husband and wife. To see my husband’s smile so big was an affirmation that we finally did it. We are finally here at this next glorious chapter of our lives. Our little family is now complete.

Wedding song:

The song I walked to down the aisle was sung by our uncle. It was “The Point of it All” by Anthony Hamilton. To me the song explained our life. We could never stay away from each other. It has always been love at first sight. Also, Anthony Hamilton is one of his favorite artists.

I would say the theme song for our wedding was by H.E.R. and Daniel Caesar’s “Best Part.” It was the song choice for our bridesmaids and groomsmen to walk down, but it fitted us perfectly.

Favorite wedding detail:

Everything! Our food, our decor, our DJ, the bartender, and our cakes were absolutely perfect. Everything looked beyond amazing, everything tasted exemplary, and the bartender and DJ were live!

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

We are most looking forward to as a married couple is the expansion of our family. We have a 6-year-old little girl and we are hoping to add many, many, many more children.

Advice for a Bride and Groom on their wedding day:

For the bride, take deep breaths and let your coordinator handle the day. Also, take a shot before if you need to so you don’t cry a whole river. For the groom, express yourself in the
most natural way possible and don’t hold anything back because it is your day as well.

Congratulations to the happy couple! We wish you many years of wedded bliss!
