Jamie and Chris met on Instagram. He messaged her because they had mutual friends and they had their first date at Pete's Burgers, Wings and Drinks restaurant in Garland, Texas. Jamie's best friend ended up coming to spy and check up on her as if she was just already eating there, and little did the pair know that they knew each other and even went to school together! Jamie is from Dallas and loves the Dallas Cowboys while Chris is from New Orleans and loves the New Orleans Saints. Their meeting was so funny because they did not even plan it, but they both wore their favorite shirts with their favorite teams on them. Since that moment, they've been a match made in heaven and now they're ready to get hitched despite their competing teams. To celebrate their upcoming marriage, Jamie and Chris arranged a simply chic outdoor engagement session at the Adriatica Village in McKinney, Texas. Check out how these two fared in their alluring shoot, captured by Meme Urbane Photography.

It was on New Year's Day of 2018! My fiance took me out to eat for dinner in Dallas and then he wanted to take me to see the firework show at the Reunion Tower. We had a blast! Little did I know that I would be saying, "Yes," at midnight! How did it happen? My fiance pulled into a parking lot where everyone supposedly was for the firework show. It was right in front of the Reunion Tower. The countdown had just begun. As I was recording the ball at the top of the Reunion Tower, fireworks started flying in the sky.
I started counting down. I said, "Babe... Come on! 10, 9, 8..." I did not know that he was getting the ring and the wine ready. So, I said, "Hurry, you have to see this... 5, 4, 3, 2..." And right when I thought it couldn't get any better, he said, "Jamie turn around and look at this." On 1, I turned around and he was kneeling down on one knee saying, "Jamie Marie Jones, will you marry me?" Guys, I lost it! I could not even believe it! I said, "Yes, Chris!" That is how my New Year's started.
We're all about the bling... Tell us all about that ring!
A: My beautiful ring is absolutely amazing! I know a lot of girls like to pick out their ring. However, I wanted my man to pick it out himself and surprise me. He did an amazing job.
How did you know your partner was the one?
I knew my partner was the one because awhile back when he was playing arena football in Kansas, he was making 8-hour trips to see and surprise me. Anytime that I would get sad and tell him I miss him, he would literally show up at my door. He moved back to Dallas about two months after doing a long-distance relationship and he said he just missed me too much to continue playing ball. It also did not turn out how he planned.
He has been there for me through everything. He never ceases to amaze me. This past Valentine's Day, he showed up at my school and surprised me and my class with candy and a huge bear! My fiance has been through a lot and he was even a victim of Hurricane Katrina. He moved here from New Orleans back in 2005 and lost everything he had, even some of his family and friends. But, he is the most respectful, kind, and genuine man I've ever met. You would never believe he faced so much at such a young age.
What makes your love special?
Our relationship is definitely one of a kind! We share the same passions. We love God and always put him first. We also believe that when you are in a relationship, whether you are dating, serious, or whatever, you should "Never Stop Dating." Chris and I love to explore, travel and try new places. We both love Downtown Dallas and we love taking a stroll on scooters. I just love that we are so adventurous and we never have a dull moment when we are with each other.
We are always pushing each other to do the best we can at anything that we do. We both collect Pops by Funko company. We have a huge display case. We love to thrift together and find new cool things.
What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?
We can't wait to see our family and freinds on the wedding day.
Have you started planning your wedding?
We are already pretty much done with our wedding planning. The best thing about it is that Chris and I have worked together on our planning and we just enjoy doing it together. We have had so much fun. Who wouldn't love planning the biggest day ever with their future husband? When we first met and became serious in our relationship, we told each other we wanted to get married in a chapel. Well, guess what? We are! My dream is coming true!
Congratulations to the happy couple! We wish you a fruitful marriage and many years of wedded bliss.
