The year 2022 is here, and of course with every new year comes our new individual goals and resolutions. We’ll admit the “New Year, New Me” theme has become a bit cliché. Most of us are guilty of hopping on the bandwagon of intentional change on the first day of every January. Whether it’s losing weight, becoming healthier, starting a new business, starting a new job, sticking to a budget, obtaining financial freedom, starting/finishing school, renewing your spiritual walk, or any other personal promise you made to yourself, as humans creating goals contributes to the fulfillment of our proclaimed purpose in life.

Not only are we trying to create and maintain goals and dreams for ourselves, as newlyweds, we must now do the same for our marriage. It can sound like a lot; it is a lot, especially for those who grapple with maintaining consistency for our own goals. However, don’t fret Queen, we have you covered. On the website Oprah Daily, writer Kimberly Zapata has an article titled, “How to Manifest Anything You Want or Desire” and she describes manifestation as “essentially bringing something tangible into your life through attraction and belief.” In other words, if we say it will happen and if we believe it will happen, it will happen!

We’ve come up with a guide on creating a marriage manifestation prayer for you and your spouse. So, grab your vision boards, notebooks, or laptop and get ready to begin!

  1. Declare Your Title

Who doesn’t love a title? Set the tone at the beginning by personalizing your manifestation prayer and adding your married name in the title.

For example, my marriage manifestation title would be “The Masons’ Marriage Manifestation Prayer.”

  1. Declare Your Intentions:

Before you write down your marriage goals and dreams, start by writing down your intentions in the form of a prayer:

Dear God,

As we speak these things into existence, we ask that You intertwine our words of confirmation with your divine power into manifestation. We speak and claim everything below into our reality. Amen!

  1. Declare It All:

This is the part where you and your partner discuss your goals and dreams as a married couple. One of the keys to manifestation is to be “specific.” You should be very clear on any and everything you want for the future of your marriage.  Angelina Lombardo, the author of “A Spiritual Entrepreneur,” says, “Manifesting is making everything you want to feel and experience a reality… via your thoughts, actions, beliefs, and emotions.” As you write down each declaration, remember to write it as though it has happened or happening. This manifestation prayer doesn’t allow room for your “wants” and “wishes.” This manifestation prayer is specifically to speak and believe things into the realm of your existence.

Here are a few examples to get you started:

“We can do things and act beyond our wildest imagination.”

“We live in health, wholeness, and protection. We take comfort by knowing no harm will come near us.”

“We are being prepared and walking into multiple seasons of favor and prosperity.”

“Our business is a multi-billion-dollar company that is changing how the world views entrepreneurship.”

“We are being prepared to build/buy the house of our dreams, for our future and our family.”

“We are having a healthy pregnancy and having a healthy baby. They will bring good into this world.”

“Our marriage is covered with longevity, love, loyalty, and laughter.”

“Our families are witnessing and benefiting from all of the above.”

  1. Close With a Scripture

Remember, this is your manifestation prayer; you can choose a scripture or an appropriate quote that fits your marriage. Just remember to “seal the deal” with some confirmation. If you are having trouble coming up with an ending, try 2 Corinthians 4:13:

“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.”

  1. Repeat Out Loud Daily

Zig Ziglar said it best, “Repetition is the mother of learning, the father of action, which makes it the architect of accomplishment.” Remember how our elders taught us to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17)? The same applies to this Marriage Manifestation Prayer. It must become part of your daily routine.  Keep in mind, the outcome of inconsistency will always result in ineffectiveness.

   6. Make It a Date Night

While reading this article, did you think about how this activity would be a perfect date night? Yes sis, so did we! So, before you and your love start working on the manifestation prayer, grab some wine, candles, and whatever else you need for a romantic vibe. Because let’s be honest, what’s sexier than conversing with your boo about the future!
