The two had been married since 2006 and celebrated their 10 year anniversary with a beautiful Tuscany destination vow renewal. D2 Photography was on site to capture all of the beautiful details.

Engagement story

We were engaged on a winter break trip to South America, during our second year of law school. Poor Brandon was so nervous because he’d been carrying around my engagement ring. His plans to propose to me at a special restaurant in Santiago were ruined because I’d gotten sick in Iguazu Falls. He saved the proposal by working with our hotel to set up a beautiful table on the roof of the hotel. It was overlooking the city, with rose petals and candles everywhere. When we were married in 2006, we promised ourselves that we’d renew our vows on our 10 year anniversary.

From the Groom:

I love any event with people I love about and great food, so I knew going in that it was going to be a special night. Seeing Yolanda in her gown was when it felt real to me…she looked amazing. I think Yolanda and I had as much fun as anyone.

From the Bride:

It was so surreal to say “I do,” again, in our own unique way. I felt completely at peace and so happy to have the presence and love of so many family members and friends. Everything felt more special because our baby daughter, Lily was there. We spoke from the heart instead of using traditional vows, and I was really moved by what Brandon said to me. It was the perfect night, and such a great wedding weekend.

What makes your love special?

Our shared love of life and all it has to offer. Also, we have a similar sense of humor, so we’re always laughing.

Your most memorable moment:

The family stories we included in the ceremony-they were sweet and hilarious. Also our first dance, which included Lily.

Wedding song:

“As” by Stevie Wonder, because it symbolized both our love and our love for Lily.

Favorite wedding detail:

The dinner table was amazing! Our wedding planner, Daniela, had the great suggestion of adding some drama with crystal detail, and it worked so well!

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

The next ten years…and many more adventures.

Advice for a Bride/Groom on their wedding day:

Relax and enjoy your special day. It goes by so quickly.

Congratulations to the happy couple! We wish you many more years of wedded bliss!
