Engagement story:

It all began June 17 2016, the day before my birthday. We planned to celebrate the occasion a day before my actual birthday because I had to work a 14-hour shift the following day. We saw Finding Dory; I had waited 13 years for that sequel! And then later that day we went and painted some really neat pottery pieces that were Dory inspired of course. We then had lunch at a wonderful little pizza shop in Midtown. A little later that evening, we went to our favorite steakhouse in town which is located in an adorable shopping plaza. After an amazing dinner, Eric wanted to go for a walk around the shopping center. Anybody that knows me, knows I get sleepy after a wonderful meal, but I decided to take the walk with him and boy am I happy I did! He proposed under the quaint lights of the plaza. It was absolutely wonderful!

What makes your love special?

I believe our love is special because we have spent a lot of time separated due to Eric’s active duty military status. Although oceans have separated us, our love for one another has never wavered. We understand that our situation is not always ideal; however, we’ve made a conscious decision to always make one another the number one priority.

Your most memorable moment:

The best moment for Eric was the exchanging of our vows to one another. The most memorable moment for me was the dance contest that happened between our DJ and some of our wedding guests.

From the Bride:

Honestly, my “wedding experience” was phenomenal. I loved every moment of planning it, and on the big day, I wanted to freeze time and savor every second. I loved having our family and friends together to celebrate our proclamation of love for one another. It was truly the best day of my life.

From the Groom:

It was a great experience! The weather was beautiful, everything went smoothly, everybody looked great, and my bride was the most beautiful woman in the world.

Wedding song:

Our wedding song was “Primetime” by Janelle Monae featuring Miguel. We loved how it explained that no matter the circumstances you find yourself in, there’s always the love of the other person there.

Favorite wedding detail:

We definitely loved our cake, cake topper, and sweets table.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Eric is most excited about wonderful adventures together, and I look forward to growing old with my very best friend.

Advice for a Bride and Groom on their wedding day:

Our advice is to relax and enjoy every moment of the day. It goes by so quickly!

Congratulations to the
happy couple! We wish you many years of wedded bliss!
