Real Engagements {Georgia}: Chelsia & Brandon!

Chelsia and Brandon believe that the stars were aligned for them to meet. They were both at the perfect place at the perfect time. "I was working on the set of a television show, called "Off the Chain." This night was the wrap up party and I remember being so tired. I hurriedly began packing my things to go home and I noticed a guy staring at me. I had never seen him before so I was sure he was a part of the studio audience. As nice as he was to look at, I was more concerned with going home after such a long day," recalled Chelsia. As fate would have it, before Chelsia could leave for the evening, she was introduced to Brandon, the man who had been staring at her most of the night. "I gave him my card and left not knowing what would happen. He called and our first date was set," said Chelsia. From that moment on, Brandon made it his fundamental duty to ensure that Chelsia was happy and had whatever she wanted. "To this day our love reminds me that magic is real and happiness happens everyday." Check out their fashion forward engagement session, captured by Sean Cason Photography.

Engagement story:

From the Groom: Walk us through the behind the scenes of creating this special day.

Like seeing a girl for the first time and KNOWING without a single doubt that she’s THAT girl. She’s the girl your parents have groomed you for, she’s the girl you’ve been working SO hard for, she’s THE ONE. Therefore, planning the proposal was effortless. I knew exactly how I wanted to do it and who would be there. I chose the perfect diamond that matched her classic vintage style and decided that giving it to her on a regular night at home would surprise her more than any big crowd or over planned scene would. I did just that and watched the girl I love so much cry tears of joy. She’s my diamond in this dirty rough world and that night my dream came true.

What makes your love special?

Our wedding theme is “Love Thee” because we believe in love that is magical and enchanting. Enchanted and in love, engulfed in the manifestation of preparation to be…the One. Like aligning galaxies and setting the sun on its horizon. Everyday, I am my beloved’s and he is mine, and I will love thee. Love thee, not from first sight, but from a place that is so deep inside me…a place, a secret garden where every flower that has bloomed has been pruned and picked and watered and ready. Ready to withstand, and give and beautify…to ignite a place inside each other that has never been lit and to live there and to need to be there, needed to be there. Loving thee…Love Thee.

What was the theme of your shoot?

French Victorian influences inspired the clothing and set design of the shoot, scene location include 19th century home and lush green courtyards as well as modern truck yard to ad a twist. The clothing can be characterized as a modern take on the traditional wedding classics ball gown and tux. Being from New Orleans, and marrying my southern prince, I wanted to be sure Cason captured our shoot in pure couture, vintage style.

Were there any memorable moments during the shoot?

The most memorable moments had to be wearing the different wedding dresses. I love vintage clothing, but a vintage wedding dress was something I had only dreamed of. Being photographed in such couture dresses, next to my love, really made me feel like I was in a scene of a 1920’s romantic film.

Congrats to Chelsia and Brandon. We wish you a wonderful wedding and marriage!
