Stephanie and Bashir met in 2006 while Bashir was on an internship in New York City. With Stephanie attending college in New Jersey and Bashir in Buffalo, New York, they spent 7 years of their relationship long distance, until Bashir landed a job in NYC in late 2013. "I feel as though our relationship is as strong as it is now, because we were in a long distance relationship for so many years. During that time, we proved to each other that we were committed to each other and to our relationship," said Stephanie. Check out their special captured by Christine Alyssa.
What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?
We look forward to growing and gaining new experiences together. We also look forward to starting our family! It’s one thing to be married to the love of your life but being able to build our own little family is truly a blessing and words cannot describe how excited we are to embark on that adventure.
Advice for a Bride/Groom on their wedding day:
Relax!! You organized and planned all of the details now you just have to sit back and let everything fall into place. For the brides, as exciting as it may be to have your bridesmaids or girlfriends stay with you the night before, I recommend getting a room for self and just relaxing. I was able to get a good night’s rest and waking up and having some alone time. During that time I was able to gather my thoughts and reflect on the past 9 years of my relationship with Bashir. For the couple: have fun! You have put in so much time and money into this day that you have to enjoy it! It's not often that you have all of your loved ones in one room so definitely reconnect and dance the night away!
