Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough of Proenza Schouler have expanded their fashion brand into its sister world of beauty. The acclaimed fashion duo have teamed up with makeup artist Diane Kendal and MAC cosmetics for its newest spring cosmetic collection of super brights. This collection barred face makeup, opting for dark eyeliners, bright (but matte) lipsticks, cheek-popping blushes, and statement nail polishes. In an interview with www.vogue.com the pair revealed, “We love a girl who’s not too done,” says McCollough. “Maybe you have a clean face and a bright lip, or a bit of an eye, or maybe only your nails are colorful. It’s that one thing, a gesture, that gives it an attitude.” The designers took their inspiration of the bold nineties and "It Girls" like Martha Plimton and Wiona Ryder.
