Real Engagements {Atlanta}: Alicia And Lance’s Office Romance – Blackbride.com

The only thing hotter than an office romance is meeting your soul mate in the process. Alicia and Lance, who met on the elevator at their job, decided to recreate their chance meeting with a sexy office photo shoot. One of our favorite photographers, Nadia D. of Nadia D. Photography, captured this sizzling shoot in an office space in Downtown Atlanta.

Bride: Alicia Dianne Perkins, 33, Human Resources Manager/Career Coach

Groom: Lance Banks Reece, 30, Senior Export Analyst

Engagement shoot location: Atlanta, GA

Wedding date: 10/7/12

How they met: “Lance and I have been together for over four years (since March 2008). We met at work in the elevator in January 2008. During this initial engagement in the elevator, we both felt the energy between us. It was overwhelmingly familiar and loving even though we had never met.”

From the Bride-to-Be: “I have always said to my family and friends, I want a story when I finally meet the man of my dreams. I can honestly say that I have the best love story ever with Lance as my partner, lover, and best friend for life.”

The Engagement Story: “Lance proposed on August 20, 2011, after 3 1/2 years of dating, at Atlanta’s newest and trendiest downtown restaurant called “Do”. After not being out on a date in two months since my mom passed on June 5, 2011, Lance and I decided to check out “Do” restaurant. Lance invited me to go on the balcony with the Atlanta skyline as our backdrop to take a picture. He knows I LOVE pictures. After the waiter took the first picture, Lance got down on one knee and proposed. It was so genuine, surreal, and romantic. It was also bittersweet, as I had envisioned my mom being my first call after the proposal. I missed her dearly on this day, but I know she was with us in spirit.”

Wedding Plans: “We are most looking forward to making our union official and sharing the moment with our family and friends.”

Wedding location: Ventanas, Downtown Atlanta, GA
Wedding theme: “Romance in the City– We want to capture the fashion, style, city, and contemporary feel of the “Sex and the City” movie but with an emphasis on romance.”
