Spa Treatments

Beginning to prep for your big day can be a bit overwhelming and intense, but with one or two spa treatments in between you will definitely begin to feel rejuvenated.  Brides are often encouraged to take time for themselves during the planning process, but how often does this really happen?  Here are just a few spa treatment suggestions to help unwind before your big day and hopefully hint at squeezing in some pampering.  After all, it is the bride’s day-so why not take time for you!

Facial

Facials are a great way to relax and rejuvenate, just keep in mind, they should never be done a few days before the wedding.  Most facials bring out impurities that can lead to breakouts, therefore, giving yourself enough time in between is always best.  If you are prone to skin problems, consider scheduling your facial at least 6 months in advance.  This will give your skin well enough time to recover from any side effects. After doing some research, there are so many different types of facials.  It can be quite confusing to find which one is best for you. Below are three common types of facials to think about when booking your spa appointment.

Acne/Deep Cleansing Facial

Fruit Acid Facial

Exfoliating Facial

Massage

Whether thirty minutes to a full hour, solo or with your bridesmaids, a massage is often at the top of the list for brides-and well deserved!  From juggling the planning to just overall calming your nerves, massages can help to provide the best remedy for those stress filled days.  Check out these two different types of massages to include with that facial!

The Swedish Massage is known to reduce stress by promoting circulation and lymph movement. This deep tissue rubdown will reduce muscle tension or any deep aches and knots.

The Deep Tissue Massage is ideal for focusing on the body's deepest layers of muscle and releases tension in over stressed areas.

Home Spa Therapy

The spa world can be pretty intimidating, especially with the pricing, booking an appointment to fit in with all the wedding planning, and time consuming for some.  There are some brides that may prefer to just relax and unwind right at home.  You can easily turn your abode into your own personal spa.

Try Exfoliating using a sugary scrub.  If you do not already have one in mind, why not make your own? The only three ingredients you will need are 1 cup of brown sugar, 1 cup raw oatmeal, and 1 cup of olive oil.  Next, using your hands simply mix all ingredients together and apply to dry skin.  Remember to use slow motion when applying and allow to stay on skin a few minutes.  Then, step in the shower and rinse off.  The result will be soft, smooth skin.  How refreshing and budget friendly!

Add candles and music.  Candles always soften a room and can add in some aromatherapy to your at home spa session.

Spa treatments can be a lot of fun.  Whether you prefer to stay at home to enjoy some relaxation or venture off with a few of your bridesmaids to accompany you for a nice rub down and some girl time, make sure it well benefits for your wedding day!
