Tips for dressing your bridal party

Although we are in the middle of  90 degree weather around the country and summer outside weddings, you can never have enough tips on how to beat the heat. Here are few tips for the ladies and gents to stay fashionable and fresh for hot summer weddings.

To keep your bridesmaids calm and cool pay close attention to the fabric. Clingy satin fabrics make it difficult for your skin to breathe and allow sweat stains which is not the best look for your wedding photos. Stick to flowy breathable fabrics , with no sleeves and lighter colors. In addition to those choices choose lighter make-up and hair styles that lift the hair off of the neck. This will make it easier to touch up make up that sweats off as well as prevent hair malfunctions that are caused by intense humidity.

How about the fellas? It is a little more difficult to keep the men of the hour from the sweltering sun. The best thing you can do is choose fabrics very wisely. Summer friendly fabrics include hopsack, cotton or linen. You can also choose to have a tailor take the lining from your suit just to increase airflow. Or instead of choosing a suit opt for a more casual quirky look with a short sleeves dress shirt and suspenders or dress pants and shirt with no jacket. Also, pay attention to the fabric of the socks and include some Gold bond in your groomsmen emergency kit. This will keep their feet from swimming in a pool of sweat.

Their also some minor things you can do like, making sure everybody stays well hydrated, placing fans logistically through out the reception venue and even having personal mini fans on hand for the bridal party. Choosing a later start time for the wedding as well as having an outside ceremony and inside reception are a few more things couples can do to ensure the "love fire" is the only thing that's burning on the couples big day!
