Engagement story :

Alex proposed to Lindsey on November 6th at 7:00 AM as they were both preparing to depart for work. Alex took Lindsey’s hand and asked if she was ready to get married, but Lindsey still wasn’t sure if this was “IT” – after all this wasn’t the first time they’d spoken of marriage. So he reached under his pillow to reveal a bracelet box… Lindsey was still quizzical. Was he asking what she thought he was asking?! Seeing her puzzled expression, Alex laughed (this was all a part of the master plan) and opened the jewelry box to revel a beautiful black diamond engagement ring. He then asked Lindsey if she would be his wife. And the rest is history…The most memorable moment, for Lindsey, was how intentional Alex was by making the proposal during such an unassuming time. The element of surprise was key and he pulled it off flawlessly.

From the Groom: Walk us through the behind the scenes of creating this special day

To be completely honest I was pretty nervous the day before. I was waiting all day for the ring I designed to arrive. When I got off work I saw the USPS driver nearby our home and I thought “maybe I didn't miss him”. Instead of checking our door I drove right to the truck and asked the driver if he tried to deliver a package to my address. He said “yes” and I began to show him my ID and the driver said without hesitation “don't worry about that man, here you go.” Though somewhat concerned for how easy that transaction was… I had the ring, finally. All year I had been planning to pop the question on Christmas Day. The ring came November 5th. I couldn't wait anymore. So instead of trying to be something I wasn't, I simply went with my instinct. One quality my soon to be wife loves most about me, after all this time.

What makes your love special?

13 years of love that have been through various hardships and accomplishments alike, and yet continues to get stronger with every passing day. They’re still learning something new about each other even after having grown up together. The amount of trust they have in one another can only be described as sacred.

What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?

Having both large families in one room to celebrate! Can’t wait!!

Congratulations to the happy couple Lindsey and Alexander! We wish you a wonderful wedding and marriage!
