It's been said by many relationship experts that weddings are a great place for singles to meet. This theory holds true for Altimese and Christopher, who met at a mutual friend’s wedding in 2010; Altimese was a bridesmaid and Chris was a groomsmen. During their mutual friend's wedding process, the couple kept the wedding party updated through monthly wedding newsletters. One month, they requested the bridal party reach out to the person they would be walking with, so that they could become familiar with one another. As requested, Christopher emailed Altimese to introduce himself—and the rest is the beginning of their love journey! Engagement story:
It was just us and we were relaxing on the couch that night of New Years Day, 2014. Chris asked me where did I see myself in five years and then told me where he saw himself in five years— with me. He then got on one knee and asked me to marry him! I laughed and then cried– and said yes!!
From the Groom:
My most memorable moment is when I looked up and first saw her walk down the aisle.
From the Bride:
Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful! We heard time and time again to be prepared for imperfections because things would go wrong on your wedding day—but ours was absolutely perfect through the imperfections. Leading up to the moment I walked down the aisle, I danced, sang and laughed with my bridesmaids and our mothers. It was such a blessed day.
What makes your love special?
We both have our own personal relationship with God and it takes priority over all things, including each other. Because we strive to love one another the way God loves us, we both benefit from an amazing feeling of unconditional love.
The couple's most memorable moment:
From the Bride:
When my husband and his groomsmen revealed their super hero shirts after Chris got the garter!
From the Groom:
Dancing with my wife
What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?
