Real Weddings {Florida}: Nancy & Marc! – Blackbride.com

Nancy and Marc met on April 1, 2010 (April fool’s day) at a gas station. Nancy was on her way to work at the airport and later found out that Marc worked at the airport as well. The two perfect strangers clicked immediately and exchange numbers. Nancy and Marc found it very easy to talk to each and spent most of their days and nights talking to each other. It wasn't long before the two made it official and started their relationship. Nancy and Marc celebrated their union with an elegant summer wedding, captured by AJ Shorter Photography !

Engagement story:

My husband popped the question on our three year anniversary at my favorite restaurant Red Steakhouse.

What makes your love special?

Our love is consistent, we will always be there for one another even when we feel like the world is against us. Our love is non-judgmental, I understand that we are all flawed in God’s perfection. Our love is bi-lingual because it speaks to our mind, body and soul. Our love heals the heart that was wrongly manipulated and broken before we met. Our love is sensual as it fulfills our every desire and appeals to senses that we didn’t even know existed. Our love is spontaneous and full of adventure. Our love is thoughtful, it will provide the little things that make a BIG difference. Our love is encouraging, uplifting, inspiring and motivating. Our love is committed to the success of our friendship and partnership as lovers.

From the Groom:

I was excited to have a party with everyone I love.  All of the people I love under one roof, food, booze, music, plus dancing with my beautiful wife. As for the ceremony itself, I couldn't wait to see my beautiful bride walk down the aisle.

From the Bride:

It was surreal, out-of-body. I was nervous, excited, happy, and anxious. I felt so nervous that at times I couldn't believe I was getting married. It felt surreal that I was going to pledge my life to another person until death parts us. It was out-of-body because it seemed like everyone else was so calm and happy while I was so anxious about the ceremony. When I finally walked up to my fiancé (now husband) I suddenly felt calm and at peace; I knew we were meant to be together.

Favorite wedding detail:

My favorite wedding detail were the beautiful centerpieces that were provide by Sandra my florist.

The couples most memorable moment:

Our favorite moments of the wedding will always be our dance to Jesse Powell you!” My husband and I are goofy, fun-loving people and knew that having 150 people stare at us while we slow-danced around would be totally awkward for us. Instead we choreographed (yes that’s right-him and I) a dance the month before the wedding, practicing at least once/twice every night! Our guests were so surprised and totally loved how fun the dance was.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

1. Traveling together and having a travel buddy is the best!
2. Developing your individual talents and sharing successes and failures with someone who truly supports you
3. Physical affection from someone who LOVES you
4. Starting a family
6. Baking goodies together… and having someone to share the calories with
7. Showing your commitment to each other in ways more permanent than any tattoo
8. Developing your religious beliefs as a couple. Praying, reading scriptures, attending church together.
9. Starting a family business
10. Having someone who tells you how pretty you look with your new haircut
11. Going on double dates

Advice for a Bride/Groom on their wedding day:

Steal away at least 10 minutes together during the height of wedding celebration and action to talk, look at each other, and take it all in. My husband and I did this from a perch overlooking the wedding, and I’ll never forget looking at his ear to ear grin while we giggled excitedly and hugged each other. You won’t be sorry and no one will be bothered that you’re gone for a few minutes.”

Congrats to the newlyweds Nancy and Marc. We wish you many more years of wedded bliss!
