1.   Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started in the bridal industry?

Completely Yours Events has grown immensely in just 3 years after having been founded by Jon'll Boyd, an Atlanta native. Thus far, we have been recognized as the 2012 Best Wedding and Event Planner in Virginia and Alexandria by Wedding Industry Experts, appeared on WHUR 95.5 Community Focus for our $5000 donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and was featured on ABC News and the Examiner for past events.

In 2013, we also had the opportunity to be the featured Wedding Planner for the annual Northern Virginia Magazine Dream Wedding Contest where we worked with one lucky couple to coordinate their dream wedding worth over $100,000.

Because of our passion to make every client’s experience one of a kind, we have had the pleasure to participate in a variety of events such as conferences, fundraisers, and networking events/mixers in addition to our niche, weddings. Over the past year, we have been fortunate enough to expand our brand into different markets and regions across the East Coast as well as internationally.

2.   How do you find inspiration? What inspires you?

Giving back to the community and serving others is what inspires us. We strive to stay connected to our community through supporting various non-profit organizations. Oftentimes, the events we produce are used as a platform to help others and transform lives. It is a very rewarding experience.

3.   Describe your event style in three words.

Modern, Bold, Tailor Made

4.   Were there any new themes, ideas, or techniques that you used in your event design this year?

When creating unique event design, we always look for new ways to tell the story of our clients' tastes and interests. For one of our September weddings, the bride and groom fell in love with the idea of space/planets and wanted to bring a new world to life within their reception space. We created giant gold star-bursts globes that spanned out to 5-9 inches displaying them on top of sky high Pilsner vases to create the illusion of floating. It was one of the most exciting projects to have worked on to date!

5.   What kind of bride is your ideal client?

Our ideal client is the modern millennial bride and groom, fairly up to date on current trends but knows where they stand when it comes to their own unique style and are willing to express it.

6.   What is your favorite part about being a planner and event designer?

Honestly, it is the look on the faces of our clients throughout their wedding day; from start to finish. We love to see when our clients are happy not only at the end of their first marital kiss but also with the feel and flow of their event. That WOW, we did it.

7.   What kind of services do you offer?

We offer full service, partial and month of wedding planning and coordination, on-site event management, and event design and styling.

8. Are you working on anything new? What do you have planned for 2015?

In 2015, we are continuing to hone in on building upon our current services to ensure an even more inclusive experience for our clients. In 2014, we launched our Event Design and Styling services as an addition to our planning and coordination packages which has been well received thus far.  We will also very soon, towards the end of 2015 be working to launch the non-profit portion of our business called "Gift A Wedding" where one wedding will be donated per year to a couple that has fallen on hard times or has been diagnosed with a terminal illness. We are very excited about this new phase of our business and we can't wait to bring more of the Complete Experience to the event industry.

9.   How can people reach you if they want to find out more about your services?

There are multiple ways for potential clients, vendors, and friends can reach us including Facebook, Twitter, and of course, our contact form on our website.

Please include anything else that you think our readers would want to know i.e., new projects and partnerships.

Our 9-week online event planning course, “Eventagious: The Business Side to Wedding and Event Planning” focuses on many of the tactics and strategies to sustain a successful event business.
