Engagement story {From the Groom}:

The first thing that came to my mind was proposing on top of a waterfall so I lured her to downtown Greenville by playing a game. We wandered around, using clues to search for a series of hidden, small bronze mouse statues, a game set up as a tourist attraction, all afternoon until we came to Falls Park on the Reedy River. The park was built around a waterfall, creating the perfect setting. She walked with me hand in hand around the park until we reached the peak of the waterfall. We stood there and discussed our future together until she realized I was no longer standing behind her but rather down on one knee with a ring in my hand. For us, it was like no one else was around in that moment. After she said yes, a crowd erupted with cheers from the surrounding area and bridge above who had seen the whole thing happen and watched silently. It was the most amazing feeling, and everyone who knew us saw the glow we both had in the days following without us having to say a word that such a major life event had occurred.

How did you decide that you wanted to propose in such a grand way? Walk us through the behind the scenes of creating this special day.

I was nervous all day, carrying that ring in my pocket, and she never knew. Regina is special to me, so I wanted to make sure the day was memorable for her, and one day she can tell our children about it.

What makes your love special?

It has endured. Through trial and growth, college, and long distance, among other things, we have always loved one another and been best friends. No matter the situation, we know that we can depend on one another. Our love and support of each other calls us to be our highest and best selves, and we give our all to the relationship, because the other one deserves nothing less.

What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?

The vows and finally being able to call each other husband and wife.

Congrats to Regina and Christopher on your upcoming wedding! We wish you a wonderful wedding and marriage!
