“So Good” Real Wedding Styled Shoot + Music Video! – Blackbride.com

From The Designer Jan Hill McBee of La Fete Weddings and Events:

The photo and video shoot I designed, inspired by DJ Battle's music video for his single "So Good” featuring Tawana Lael . When Mark finished the song, he had the idea of shooting a music video for it. Since he is the "Luxury Event Music Specialist," he wanted something to reflect that. When he mentioned the idea to me, I immediately jumped onboard with the project. We talked about a contemporary, luxury wedding reception theme for the video since that is the industry we work in and love. I enlisted an amazing team of vendors to assist with the photo and video shoot. It was also time for Mark to host his annual "Family and Friends" appreciation party, so we were able to incorporate guests from the party to complete the wedding reception look.

Shoot location: The Loews Atlanta Hotel

Shoot theme: The shoot theme/story was a couple just after their wedding ceremony attending their wedding reception.

Color combinations: Black, white, coral and silver, with glass and acrylic mixed in for a contemporary look.

Linens: Ivory satin linen with a black sheer overlay with tiny mirrored pailletts

Centerpiece Description: The florals consist of a mix of coral tulips, roses, hydrangea, daisies, and callas lilies placed in black glass containers. White candlesticks were mixed in between the florals for a chic look.

Favorite detail:

Its difficult to pick a favorite detail, but some of my favorites are the gorgeous wedding stationery, our models were outfitted in amazing pieces from Ivory Formal and Bridal and Modern Gent (Maxine from Edge Design added “edgy”touch with a black crystal skull pin on the boutonniere).

Place Settings: The place setting consisted of Saturn silver glass chargers and a simple white china with a thin silver trim. I choose black glass goblets and crystal wine glasses and champagne flutes. The beautifully designed menu cards were by Papered Wonders. She also designed a gorgeous acrylic invitation with a black and white lined envelope.

About the Couple:

The Bride is Kimmie Gipson Brasil, also know as, "Kimmie Gee," a professional dancer and co-captain Dancer for Beyoncé and The Groom is her actual fiance, DJ Jamad Walden, a very popular DJ in Atlanta
