Wedding Fashion: Mother of the Bride and Groom! – Blackbride

Gone are the days where the Mothers of the bride and groom wear non-modern dresses with no style. Mothers are spending time, and money to make sure they look their personal best on your wedding day. After all, they will be included in the memories captured that day.  In general they may also assist you in paying for the wedding or certain aspects of the wedding. This could possibly be the second most important dress they wear other than their own wedding dress.

Although being age-appropriate is always a smart decision, playing it too safe can make your look boring and dated. Choosing modern cuts that highlight your shape is a great way to be modern yet age-appropriate. You can also make sure your dress is stylish and contemporary by choosing something that is tea length. Don't be afraid of  bright colors or prints.

Dare to be bold in your dress choice and don’t be afraid to show a little skin. A shawl or a dress that is modest in other areas still makes your choice age appropriate. Choose a dress that is complimentary to the theme, colors and over all feeling of the wedding. Also take into consideration the time and location of the ceremony. This will help narrow your choices when finalizing your selection.

Let's face it, women know how to make a fashion statement at any age. Brides and grooms its okay to let your mother shine! Allow them to feel beautiful on one of the most important days of their lives too. Remember, if it was not for them you wouldn't be marrying the love of your life. Moms, pick something that shows your personality and makes you feel great. Go for it! This is a big day for you too.
